John Marshall

John Marshall (Classics, Class of 2016) wrote "Of Aeneas, Pietas, and Christianity: The Reception of Pietas in Christian Literature" under the supervision of Dr. Daniel Gibbons for (ENG 347, Christian Literary Traditions).

John Marshall earned a BA in Classics from the Department of Greek and Latin in May 2016. Then, having decided that further study in Classics would be beneficial, he returned to CUA for graduate school, where he continues to hone his skill in Greek and Latin as a first-year Master's student. His interests include the epic poetry of Homer and Vergil, the reception of classical ideas in later periods, and the intersection of Classics and the New Testament—most notably the Greek language and the benefit of being able to read the New Testament in Greek.
